Foothills Conservancy X Kitsbow

by Katherine Ehrlichman

Foothills Conservancy is actively working to permanently protect land and water in Western North Carolina for the benefit of people and all living things. As of today, they’ve protected over 65,000 acres here.

Foothills Conservancy is also building trails, providing even better access to recreation. At Kitsbow we admire this leadership and stewardship, and we’re delighted to be supporting Foothills Conservancy!

First up: there is a new Icon Shirt (in 3 different fits) and new Merino top (2 fits) and buying these products benefits Foothills: Kitsbow gives 25% of the purchase price back to Foothills Conservancy.

And allows you to represent their strong work in conservancy and trail building!

Next up: your opportunity to help build another 4.5 miles of MTB trail in Morganton, NC (just around the corner from Kitsbow in Old Fort, NC).

Foothills Conservancy is leading the project to build a natural surface flow trail for all biking and hiking levels within city limits of Morganton - offering equitable access for all people to engage in mountain biking.

Flow trails include elements like smooth surfaces, wide turns, and moderate slopes that encourage use by all levels, from beginner to experienced mountain bikers. The planned loop winds along the wooded edges of Catawba Meadows Park and will feature a jumpline, rock outcroppings, and 3 bridges to protect water quality of the Catawba River.

And your contribution will be matched 1:1 by the NC Recreation Trails Program – so it really counts!
