Wonders Woman takes Cape Epic by Storm: Meet the Ambassador

by Mary Bardell March 07, 2019

Melissa Wonders is, at first blush, just an everyday mom, juggling a career, a husband and three active boys. She valiantly displays a sunny attitude about life in general and a hard core passion for riding (she wakes at 4:30 am every morning to make sure she gets her ride in before the start of her non stop day).

But don't let that seemingly normal biography fool you: Melissa has big dreams, and clearly a strong drive for going after what she wants and accomplishing it.

This month, Melissa will join her friend and fellow crusher, Meghan Skidmore, as the only women's American team to compete in the grueling 8-day, 400-mile-plus Cape Epic mountain bike race in South Africa to be held at the end of the month.

We are so honored to call Melissa a Kitsbow Ambassador. You can read her (pretty fun) bio here and if you are one of the tribe that rides when you can at early hours, in the pouring rain and at any moment you can- regardless of the conditions, check out her recommended gear below.

Join us in wishing good luck to Melissa!

Melissa's recommended training gear: the Rockstacker Tights, Women's Icon, Tsali Merino short, Knee Warmers, Women's Merino Jersey.
