Our second iteration of the Icon shirt is a thoroughly modern take on a classic. Built function-first for life on two wheels, featuring improved articulated shoulder vents, stretch gussets, subtle reflective hits, bigger cuff openings, larger Schoeller®-shape 3XDRY abrasion panels, and the signature natural benefits of authentic American Pendleton wool. Hand-sewn in Oakland, CA. Constructed for a lifetime of adventure.
"I first bought the Kitsbow Icon in 2014 and out of all my apparel, both on and off the bike, it’s become a staple. As soon as the temps drop, it becomes my go-to mountain bike or bike touring jacket. I’ve taken spills, experienced thrills and everything in between with it...My point is, the Kitsbow Icon is the best flannel I’ve ever owned and there’s nothing I’d change about it."
"Trust me, I’m not one to recommend a riding shirt that costs $195 unless it’s good. Really good. Hand on heart, I wore the Pendleton wool Icon every day for 9 weeks solid – often at high altitude – in Ecuador and Peru. I washed in once… and it still looks absolutely brand new. I’m a creature of habit; the Icon has become my go to shirt, whether on tour, riding trails, or in a coffee shop. "
Extremely well made. Mine is too small and I need a large...but it is very well made.
I have a number of vintage Pendleton shirts that I love. The V2 takes all the great features of the classic and make it better with modern features and fit. It took a little back and forth from a sizing standpoint. I initially ordered an XL due to my size in the A/M hoodie which they say runs large. I am a perfect large at 6’ and 200 lbs with long lombs. Really nice peice!
Great shirt for hanging out on the weekend or casual hikes.
My husband's favorite shirt in life is his Icon shirt. It's in red plaid and the fit is incredible on him in XS. For Christmas this year, I decided to gift him the Icon V2 shirt, mainly because the solid Sentinel Granite colorway is more versatile than his red plaid V1 and also bc V2 had some product feature updates that my husband had mentioned with enthusiasm. One note on fit: the cut of the V2 is roomier through the body and arms than the V1 - your body type will determine whether that's a benefit or detractor. For my husband, he'll keep the V2 for the design and additional technical details and visit at tailor to get it taken in.
I bought this shirt for my husband. Was a little hesitant because of the price but it is well worth the money. He loved his so much I just ordered one for me.
