B-roads are gravel roads that receive less maintenance than typical gravel roads. Think Trans Iowa drainage ditches that you'd rather walk than ride. For these long days on the bike, you'll want a cap to complement your kit. We made a cap with optimal brim length and sweat stopping power that you'll be grateful for when you're out on those b-roads.
This is a great cap. The bill is a bit longer than typical cycling caps, so it does a fine job at keeping weather out of your eyes. Sizing was a little tricky. My head is 56cm, which I would typically assume is a medium. However, I had to size up from the small/medium to the large/extra large.
Haven't used it yet. I need to modify. The cap is an XL but too small for my punkin head. I cut the elastic out of the back and when I add some material in its place it will be just right.
Great fit and quality. My only disappointment is that the "reflective strip" isn't really very reflective. Compared it to my other reflective cycling pieces, it's really just a gray cloth stripe down the middle of the hat. The "reflective strip" note should probably be removed from the products description.
Overall, a very high quality cap. It works nicely with helmet or without. Love the colors. I will say, I don’t have a very large head (7 1/4 fitted) and the size large is a little tight.
As always, there's a good mix of style and function, which is a hallmark of everything Kitsbow. I first noticed that the brim extends out a bit further than a typical cap, which I like because it's there for a reason...to block out the sun. Second, you can tell by the stitching both inside and out that this thing's gonna last and withstand some abuse. My caps get rolled up, stuffing in small places, used as make-shift storage sacks, etc., so they need to withstand more than the typical 'cap' role. I love the classic denim-like color and the reflective strip, too. It's winter here in Montana right now, but I couldn't help but wear it around today and it felt great. Good job, once again!
