  • Sometimes you need a tight over your legs for that cold weather ride, run or even outdoor yoga. Designed without a chamois, this provides full coverage for a range of indoor and outdoor activities and can be worn over a base short (Ventilated Cycling Liner or Origin Cycling Liner) for the Trail and over our Coleman Valley Bib Short for ripping gravel.

The Rockstacker Merino Tight

When a knee warmer isn't enough to keep you at a comfortable temperature, you know it's time to dial up your getup.

Enter Kitsbow's new Rockstacker Merino Tight.

When people think of tights, they often picture elves, Robin Hood, and yoga class. What they don't picture is you crashing through the branches, thorns, and gravel while being impervious to the howling wind and rain without a scratch or shiver. The Rockstacker Merino Tight sports a nylon face, Schoeller shin and knee protection, and a merino blend for warmth. This means you'll be laughing at the competition all the way down the mountain, the road, or even that yoga class we mentioned earlier.

The Rockstacker Merino Tight keeps you warm on the inside and protected on the outside. This tight was also specially designed to maximize range of motion and the Polartec compression fabric fully engages your vascular system. That means your blood moves to all the right places as you hoof it through every scenario you'll throw at it, from snowy tundras in the dead of winter to city boulevards on a crisp autumn night.

Because we also anticipate you're going to wear this tight during particularly demanding activities, we added patented structure to protect against abrasion. We suggest for those looking for the best of both worlds use these over our base short or bib. You'll get the chamois from the base short and warmth of the full-length tight.

The Porsche of tights

I am a life long (and I’ve been at it a long time!) German car guy. I appreciate purposeful design and rigorous execution. My first piece from Kitsbow and running/riding is now warm and comfortable. The Porsche of tights for me, so no going back.

Nice fabric, but slips down

I like these but the material slips down from my knee to shin and then feel constructive on the knees. I find myself pulling them up all the time when running in them. I wish they had a waistband too to help with this.

Nice mid-weight, versatile tight with good features

I quite like these, and have just two small nits (otherwise they'd be 5 stars). First, my use has been all in the 30-40F temperature range, including a day where it was snowing lightly. I haven't used them in the rain. Perfect in those temps, and I know I could wear these easily up into the 50's, and maybe others could wear them sub-30, but I get cold easily so I'd likely go for for the thicker winter bib tights I have if it were below 30. What I particularly like is the wind and water repellent portions on the lower legs. For mountain biking this rocks - as the trails during the winter are often wet and such, and this really helps. Also, I'm wearing shorts over, so no need for it on the upper portions, and just works out great. My two nits are 1) I'd like a drawstring or similar, and 2) I'd like them to be say an inch or two longer in length. Note, I'm 6'1" tall, with a 36" inseam, and I'm using the size XL. I've tried the knickers in L and XL, and I prefer the XL overall, but with these, having a drawstring would add a bit more feeling of security (in reality, they don't fall down or really any problem, this is more about generally how secure I perceive them to be). Length wise, they're ok, but again, could use a bit more length given my extra long inseam :) Ultimately, a superb all around tight, with great features, and extremely nice manufacturing. I will be using these a ton.

Surprise new favorite.

I bought these on a whim this winter, and they've quickly become a staple item for me. I wear them at the gym, as a base layer under jeans on cold days, and I run in them. On cold mornings I ride in them and I've slept in them while camping, too. Tough construction, clean non attention grabbing looks. You wont regret these.

powerwool tights

These were for my wife. The fit and design is really good; it appears that they are the new favorite pants!
