A classic crewneck, optimized with alpine-grade technology and signature Kitsbow fit, makes the ultimate second layer when the mercury drops. Constructed of an ultrafine, thermoregulating Merino/synthetic blend for rugged versatility. Schoeller®-shape 3XDRY® panels on the shoulder and elbows for when things go sideways. Durable enough for a top layer or worn as an insulation layer under a shell. The Front Range will be your favorite everyday sweatshirt designed for trail abuse and far-flung mountaintop adventures.
"This ultra-fine merino wool knit crewneck is the perfect piece to stow in your pack as a second layer for chilly descents. Like the Icon shirt, it gets Schoeller 3x Dry patches on the elbows and shoulders, with Spandex for a comfy fit. It’s a great mid-layer under a shell, or a top layer on cool, dry days."
"Kitsbow makes high-quality cycling apparel in the US, yet at a price. A $150 merino sweatshirt might seem like a lot of money, but as I’ve found over the years with Kitsbow, it’ll be the best you’ll ever own and will last for years. While not every thing in their catalog is for me, I can spot their new classics a mile away. This Front Range Merino Sweatshirt will be a fall and winter trail staple!"
My favorite cool weather shirt. Washes easy and keeps its shape.
I recently picked up one of these in gray. The first thing that stands out is how comfortable this sweatshirt is. The spandex gives a little stretch which is great and the merino is as soft as can be. The gray had a little more contrast than I wanted with the black shoulder/elbow pads so I returned it for Black. I'm in love with the black on black color. I'm normally a medium in most things Kitsbow but went with a large on the Front Range and am happy with the choice. It's form fitting but doesn't fit like a base layer. This is a staple in my daily use and is one of the few things that prevents me from grabbing my Icon every time. 5'11"; 150 lbs; Size Large fits nice - slightly loose but not swimming.
Wanted one for a long time to match all my other Kitsbow gear. Finally pulled the trigger before a destination mountain bike camping trip, and was very happy I did. Put it on before breakfast, did a 4 hour ride, came back to the campsite for some beverages, another ride that ended in dinner, back to the site for a fire and slept in it. Woke up and it still didn’t stink even though I was solidly ripe by that time. Wore it home and was comfortable the entire time I had it on in various conditions. Fantastic piece of kit, will certainly be buying another.
Quite a nice item - very comfortable and seems like it will be durable. However, unfortunately in my humble opinion, like some other Kitsbow products, it is significantly overpriced.
