We’re completing the seasonal circle with a full-featured, highly breathable, waterproof softshell jacket. Polartec® NeoShell® protects from the rain and allows airflow to quickly vent and evaporate sweat. Multiple zips and a custom venting system allow you to shed heat in a hurry during extreme exertion. Go farther, go harder, stay dry when the skies open up. Those dark clouds on the horizon are just another challenge.
"Beautiful and with all the bells and whistles, the Trials jacket is built by one of the most stylish mountain bike clothing brands in the world. A Rapha for the off-road set...the Trials is as comfy as a soft shell while performing like a hardshell jacket."
"Softshell feel, hardshell performance. Impossible? Tell that to the designers at Kitsbow. These guys obsess over fabrics. And their Trials Jacket with wrist vents and a helmet compatible hood is the shit. Pardon my french. It's waterproof thanks to Polartec's Neoshell fabric: windproof, waterproof and insanely breathable. There are wrist vents, a roll top hood, a Napoleon pocket, adjustable cuffs and waist, and looks absolutely baller."
"When it comes to minimal, well-designed, tonal mountain bike clothing, one brand stands out above the rest: Kitsbow. The Petaluma, CA based brand is making some of the best mountain bike clothing on the market. Pieces like the Origin A/M short and the Trials Softshell waterproof jacket epitomize thoughtful design and have become staples in my mountain bike kit."
No question this jacket is great on chilly/windy/wet rides. It is also my go-to for traveling to non-freezing places. The slim fit makes it look sharp and not out of place at a fancy dinner meeting where I would not feel comfortable in other rain shells...plus it keeps you dry, warm and packs down well.
I love this jacket. It fits perfectly. I am 5' 10" with an average build, and this jacket fits snugly in the trunk, with room for an insulating layer. Great fit at the shoulders and elsewhere too. My only gripes: the sleeve snaps are cumbersome, and the hood does not stay securely over my helmet in heavy winds, even with the drawstring pulled snug. Otherwise, perfect.
Went out last week by -3C up to 0C A radiator tshirt and merino hoodie under the jacket. Kept the body warm, did not warm too luch during efforts, and inside humidity when sweating almost all evacuated. This is magic and better breathing than gore tex stuff I’ve been using before. Humidity from the outside definitely kept outsider All in all my « new normal » jacket
Water rolls right off it. Seems are solid. Great fit. Good looking too
I had no desire to spend this much money on a rain jacket. Then I moved to Washington and got caught out in a warm fall rain, that quickly became a miserable ride home. I then bought the Trials jacket and couldn't be happier. Fit was true to size, the hood stays up over the helmet for the torrential downpours keep visibility up. The arm zips allow for you to still ride hard without overheating. Great pocket that zip down snug and keep your essentials from flapping in the wind...worth every penny for rain protection
