Swift X Kitsbow Anchor Hip Pack
Born of a challenge to improve upon an already classic outdoor design — the hip pack. At 2.5 liters of capacity, the hip pack’s overall shape is streamlined for on-body comfort.
A key feature of the Anchor Pack is a unique feature which easily accommodates those extra layers without adding to the surface area contacting the body. This expanding sleeve feature, the Anchor Cargo Flap, is brought to life with a special Pendleton® wool lining and simply tucks away and disappears when not deployed.
But we didn’t stop there! We added convenient attachment points for an optional Sidekick Stem Pouch accessory bag to carry an extra water bottle, snacks, or a bike tool.

Took this with me, a little hesitantly, on a week of riding in Arizona. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it is. I kept my wind jacket, a mirrorless camera, and some food in it. Whenever I stopped for a picture, I just swung it around and opened it. Super simple, and it was even comfortable!
This is an excellent pack made of high quality materials that will last some time. I have started to use this pack off the bike as well to carry my everyday necessities. Other packs I have tried tend to come loose after a bumpy ride. Being able to shed a layer of gear and store it in the pack is ideal for winter rides.
Another fine product from Kitsbow. I really enjoy this Anchor hip pack, especially for longer MTB and gravel rides in cooler temps. This hip pack has instantly become my go-to for fall/winter rides when water storage/carrying capacity is not the top priority. The materials/functionality are high quality, and the pack fits nicely on or slightly above the hips and without any temp issues near waist. Don’t worry, if you haven’t converted to a hip pack already, after the first use of the Anchor, you will forget about that backpack. The Anchor’s buckle and straps are clean and user friendly. The Anchor can carry enough clothing layers and food (for 5+ hour rides and 20+ degree temp swings) without any drag on the lower back or the pack becoming vulnerable to tilting, bouncing or racking. Also, Swift / Kitsbow nailed it with the use of only one (1) water bottle holder, as ride physics on the trail minimize hip pack tilt / shifting when one water bottle holder is in tow compared to two (2) bottle holders. Having said that, for big rides requiring more water storage than clothing layers or food, I recommend High Above’s Lookout as the spring/summer hip pack. The Lookout hip pack also is Made in USA and uses similarly fine materials. The Lookout has two water bottle holders and a smaller main hip pack compartment.
Love this pack. Just the right size for an assortment of trail essentials and the roll flap holds my outer layer perfectly when I’m not wearing my my icon or wind jacket. Keeps my gear dry and clean and fits well on my hips. Love the way the belt clip adjusts to the side for all day comfort.
The fit is perfect for my rides and other activities. Loving that extra flap for layers that I shed. So much attention to the fine details. Great craftsmanship.
