ELEVATE YOUR COMFORT
The Lory Merino Henley Top is the very definition of a do-it-all long sleeve top, with soft merino fibers engineered to sit against the skin, the Lory adapts to changing weather, keeping body temperature just right in temps ranging from 30-65 degrees. Worn by itself or as a base layer, it is our idea of the perfect long sleeve.
Along with the companion product, the Escalator Merino Henley (the signature fit) the Lory is one of our most popular products -- and a staff favorite. It is packs tiny and light, perfect as a mid-layer or light sweater on the bike, traveling in a plane, or headed into a restaurant. Some skin-sensitive users report this is the one wool they can wear without irritation.
- (34%) Soft merino yarn sits next to skin and pulls away moisture while regulating temperature. And the (66%) polyester yarns are knit to the outside, facing the elements, delivering toughness and quick drying.
- Henley-inspired design includes a quarter-length snap closure and accented embroidery and seams
- Sewn by artisans, one at a time just for you, in Old Fort, NC

My girlfriend is really happy with this garment
Just a base layer, not!!
This shirt was purchased as a base layer, but it feels so good I find myself reaching for it days in a row. It’s warm, it’s cool, it’s soft, it’s breathable, it’s so much more than just a base layer.
A perfect shirt ?!
Ok, this shirt is fabulous. The fit is a little snug as others have mentioned - my usual size is a tad bit fitted and close to the skin, like a baselayer fit. One size up from my normal size would probably be more like a cozy sweatshirt fit. But the fabric is magical: it somehow manages to be warm and cozy in lower temperatures and stay comfortable in warmer temperatures. The quality appears excellent, and I hope it will last for many years because I think I am going to want to wear it every day forever!
Great shirt for cycling
I love the henley for cycling and hiking. However, it’s a bit short in the front for casual wear.
Dig the top! Just some minor items
Really love the fit and feel of the top. I was worried reading that people said it had a short torso, but I feel like it has a normal length torso and even the arms aren’t too overly long for my short arms. I can wear it days on end without smell and it does great going from the office to the trail. I only wish that the collar was just maybe a cm or two tighter to the neck. I find that my sports bra straps will show if I don’t wear a particular kind so having a little tighter of a collar would help with coverage. Also, wish the oxblood color was actually as dark as the website depicts, it’s more of a washed out rust-ish red instead. But I feel the style and workmanship are worth it for the price. Looks great and rides great too. I’m a function over fashion person but this is both. Kudos!
