If you're done with your Kitsbow, because it doesn't fit any more, because you don't ride any more, or really for any reason -- then we strongly recommend you move it on to its Forever Home via Experienced Apparel, where you can sell Kitsbow for cash or Kitsbow.com store credit.
Finally a short that fits MY body!
Ok, so, I don't have the "standard" body shape, and really, who does?! But finding a bottom of anything that fits my 27" waist and 42" hip is nearly impossible and this short freakin does it! I'm 5' 3", and I have the size 28. In jeans I would normally wear a size 29 or 30. And while there's still a fair amount of ease in the waistband, it is not distracting or standing away from my body with the normal gaping I always experience. And I don't have to alter a thing! The fabric is magical. Super stretchy in all directions, supportive but not restricting, and doesn't bag out after a long ride. I don't think this short was designed with my particular body in mind, but I do think the fabric allows for a fit that I have never found before. Thank you Kitsbow! I think I'll be wearing these shorts for much more than just riding <33333333
Even before I put these shorts on I could tell the fit was dialed in, the contoured waistband and back yoke were dead giveaways. I'm 5'11" and 150lbs, I have the Tsali Cycling Shorts in a size medium and they fit really well (thank goodness for the relatively high rise). I got the Madrones in size 30 per the size chart in the 11" inseam and the fit is pretty perfect. The Madrone fits me closely in the waist and high hip, the 4-way stretch fabric has a smoothing supportive effect and the waistband feels strong and flexible (will easily accommodate small waistline fluctuations). The waistband hits me a couple inches bellow the navel, I'd call it a medium high rise. I have more room through the thigh, the leg is straight and not too loose. The material feels really resilient and is not clingy or revealing. Overall, these shorts are well built and deliver a fit that feels custom.
Great design, great attention to fit and detail!
This short fits beautifully! The fabric is a perfect all-season weight. The 4-way stretch hits the sweet-spot between support and mobility - they really do feel as though they disappear while wearing! The rear facing pockets allow you to zip your cell phone in the hip pocket - but it remains comfortably behind the hip crease. The additional internal snap keeps the waist band and fly laying flat and smooth. The welt detail in the front is very slimming. Love the black olive color!
MTB short for everything...on and off trail!
The material of this short is very flexible and comfortable, making the fit really nice. It is great for short and longer rides and everything before and after the activity. I've worn it riding several times and they handled creek crossings like a charm shedding the water and not staying wet at all. The short performed well while pedaling and during downhill descents. The pockets are different but perform perfect and you can hardly tell your phone is there at all. After a 3 hour ride, the short still looked good to go at the local watering hole. This will be my go to short for the upcoming season. It will look perfect with my icon too!
