A classic crewneck, optimized with alpine-grade technology and signature Kitsbow fit, makes the ultimate second layer when the mercury drops. Constructed of an ultrafine, thermoregulating Merino/synthetic blend for rugged versatility. Schoeller®-shape 3XDRY® panels on the shoulder and elbows for when things go sideways. Durable enough for a top layer or worn as an insulation layer under a shell. The Front Range will be your favorite everyday sweatshirt designed for trail abuse and far-flung mountaintop adventures.
"This ultra-fine merino wool knit crewneck is the perfect piece to stow in your pack as a second layer for chilly descents. Like the Icon shirt, it gets Schoeller 3x Dry patches on the elbows and shoulders, with Spandex for a comfy fit. It’s a great mid-layer under a shell, or a top layer on cool, dry days."
"Kitsbow makes high-quality cycling apparel in the US, yet at a price. A $150 merino sweatshirt might seem like a lot of money, but as I’ve found over the years with Kitsbow, it’ll be the best you’ll ever own and will last for years. While not every thing in their catalog is for me, I can spot their new classics a mile away. This Front Range Merino Sweatshirt will be a fall and winter trail staple!"
I'll be honest, my husband wasn't too enthused when he opened his Xmas gift. He had wanted a similar shirt but made by Fox. Since I had already bought this, He already had a Kitsbow he loved I decided to risk not getting the Fox jersey &sticking with this. So ...when he opened it up he was bummed. Didn't like the look of it much either. Then he tried it on. He liked it better on than off. But still wasn't sure. But the deciding factor came after a ride the next day. Cold out there early in the morning & when he got home he told me he was sold. He LOVES it!!! Never mentioned the Fox shirt again ;)
Probably the best long sleeve riding shirt that I own. The feel of the material and the craftsmanship are excellent. Would absolutely buy again and love wearing this shirt. In terms of sizing, I am 5'11", 170 lbs, with an athletic build and 41" chest. Size Large fits perfectly. This shirt is fairly thick and is warm. I sweat a lot generally and run very warm when exercising. I wear this in 40-55 degree weather with a super thin base layer underneath and have no issues. Any warmer outside and it would too hot. YMMV. Note, I took a hard crash and a tiny hole developed on the forearm. My elbow had a 1" diameter skin abrasion, but the elbow fabric was unscathed.
Feels incredibly comfortable for lounging, but also technical enough to wear out on trail or as a baselayer.
This piece is great in every way. Material, finishing, fit, feel. It’s got it all and taken a frequent role in my daily wardrobe.
Very comfortable and great-looking sweatshirt, but runs smaller than expected. Despite what the size guide says, consider sizing up.
