had to go down a size compared to the wool Icon

ordered the same size I wear in the wool Icon and it was too big. Kitsbow uses the same pattern ("Blueprints") but in this stiffer cotton fabric it lays differently; the shoulders look wider in cotton and the chest feels roomier in cotton. Re-ordered a size down and it was perfect. The dark blue denim 98% cotton has that classic familiar feel of all cotton demin, but its surface and color is also quite durable. Even after a hot wash and long hot dryer session (trying to shrink the too large one I ordered) the limited edition denim came out only very slightly changed in surface feel--I probably couldn't tell in a side-by-side test, and came out with no perceptible change in color. Using it for cycling will mean laundering is necessary, so this is good news for someone who wants to to be washable and keep looking like it does for a long time. Especially if you follow Kitsbow's instructions and cold-wash / line-dry.
