Our most dynamic, feature-rich short was born from your feedback that we needed “one short to rule them all.” The performance-oriented cut and the most innovative fabric we use in shorts remain the same, but we’ve increased the comfort and wearability by doing away with the button.
The new auto-locking zipper and Fidlock magnetic snap belt offer easy one-handed access and keep your shorts up securely, with no waistline dig. Four pockets provide ample storage, water-resistant Schoeller® 3XDRY® treatment keeps you covered, and a cycling-specific cut keeps you comfortable for miles, days, and years of riding. Yeah, we thought of everything.
I used this short for seven days of riding in British Columbia this summer. At home I always go with these shorts as they are comfortable and fit perfectly. I am 6’3” tall and weigh 180 pounds. They work best with a padded liner.
Like others, the cost of this short is a bit offsetting, but the quality is second to none. It's definitely a luxury item but worth the cost. Fit in the waist is a bit on the bigger side. I wear size 32-33 pants and opted for the medium. I have to snug up the belt for a good fit, but don't envision myself in a small. Fit in the thighs and seat is spot-on. The quick link belt is quite ingenious. The feel of the fabric is soft and pliable and I forget it's there when riding. I have no problems wearing knee pads (7idp) under these shorts. They breathe reasonably well, but aren't my first choice for the warmest days when I opt for something of lighter material and more ventilation. They shed water well. I haven't gotten them too muddy yet, so I can't comment on stain resistance, nor can I comment on long term durability - but I take comfort in knowing that Kitsbow stands behind the shorts for the life of the product.
I’m 6’2”, 195 but sort of weirdly shaped and my problem is that I need an XL to have enough room in the thighs, but when I go XL, the belt didn’t tighten enough, even when cinched to the limit (and when cinched to the limit, there’s still a bit of that annoying tuck bulge) SUPER nice shorts, really well made with great attention to detail. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that at some point value has to enter into the equation and I just can’t imagine a pair of shorts that’s REALLY worth $200, let alone $255. Let the philosophical debate begin. If money is no object to you and you don’t have a dumb body like me, I’d buy two pairs of these shorts. Heck - buy three! They’re THAT nice.
Exceptional garment. Excellent fit and finish with attention to detail. The price seems preposterous until you wear them.
Great short very soft on the inside while riding and strong enough so far. Regulates well the temperature (tried from 15’C to 28’C) Fit is excellent, practical (pockets, materials) and the look is so good than I will also use it when not on a bike - classier and better cut than bermudas I have. Bought a 2nd one...
