The Kitsbow Base Short is a supremely comfortable, purpose-driven padded liner rivaling the very best road shorts available, and specifically optimized for long days on the trail.
Just purchased my second pair. I’ve alwats gone with Pearl Izumi’s, but find these more comfortable, especially for winter riding. At 40% off they are competitively priced with other high end shorts. Snap them up while they last!
Awesome first ride out of the box — 60 mile MTB race. Super comfortable, small fit well, I normally wear mediums.
Hands down the best pair of bib shorts I have ever owned. Super comfortable and warm without being overly toasty. Worn these in everything from 85 degree mountain scorchers to sub freezing temps and I was comfortable the whole time. Kitsbow rules as always.
I like the Merino Base Short so much that I just bought a second pair! I've used mine both Mountain and Road biking as a liner and outer short. Best of all, on my last bike-packing trip, I wore these on a hot (90 degree) day and into a cool, high altitude night (60 degrees) during an extended leg of the journey. I still had a rash from another brand of short I wore the day prior (I'll never wear those again), and despite the rash, I felt great in Kitsbow with only the aid of a little chamois butter while covering100 miles with the mentioned temperature extremes. I'm now returning my newest, unworn pair of Pearl Izumis and have decided the Kitsbow short is certainly worth the extra money...
love these babies. super, super expensive, but if you can afford, they should reward the investment
