"The Kitsbow Ventilated V2 is the recently updated version of our previous Editors' Choice Award for trail and cross country riding, the Kitsbow A/M Ventilated, and the new version maintains that top step on the podium. Attention to detail and very thoughtful design make these shorts the best fitting and pedal friendly in our test selection."
Second pair! Love these shorts. So light, like not having them there.
Unfortunately Kitsbow doesn't have a version of these shorts in their Women's collection so what's a gal to do? Order a pair from the Men's collection, of course! I am a relatively standard Women's M but I ordered a Men's M after trying on my husband's size S short (he loves them as well) as I prefer a bit looser fit around the thighs and I don't like anything tight around my waist. Happily they seem to fit nicely, even with my Tsali merino wool shorts underneath. I wore them on a ride this morning - completely forgot that they were even there, they are so lightweight and comfy. I am generally a road rider but wanted some longer, more 'normal-looking' shorts for cycle touring. I think these will do the trick - and they are actually quite comfortable to wear just as shorts, with the added benefit of being long enough to cover my bike tan line from my bike shorts! Another Kitsbow product showing its versatility. Looking forward to trying them out in our home country of Australia this summer, where the ventilation will be appreciated.
I love theses !! Super well made, very comfortable and breath very well. Pockets are a bit shallow as compared to other shorts but not a show stopper. By far my favorite mtn biking short ever purchased.
The fabric is amazing. It breathes well, doesn't get heavy when saturated, and dries quickly. Seems to be durable too. I would prefer if the cut and waist-belt were like the origin shorts. The cut of these is a little looser, less tailored through the thigh and knee. And the metal belt buckle feels excessive and is annoying for the wash cycle. Either you remove the buckle every time it goes in the wash or it smacks and clacks around through the spin and dry cycles. Despite those issues, I'll take these over the origins in 80+ degree weather.
I’ve had these for about a year now and can’t say enough great things. These shorts are lightweight and vent well. The material is durable and I’ve found them to shed water quickly when caught in the rain. I love the tapered cut and length on my 6’3” frame. Perfect for mtb, gravel, and brewery rides. I own two pairs and have considered getting a third set as we come back into peak season.
