The Trials Jacket utilizes NeoShell fabric for the awesome breathable-waterproof performance. BUT you must regularly wash your jacket (as described here) to maintain the performance. If your jacket is not washed in this way, dirt and body oils contained in sweat will prematurely degrade the performance. Using a detergent intended for use on waterproof breathable garments and the care instructions above will help to prolong the life of your jacket. As soon as water fails to bead up and roll off your garment it is recommended to re-apply an aftermarket DWR treatment to maintain the breathability of the garment.

Trials Softshell Jacket

We’re completing the seasonal circle with a full-featured, highly breathable, waterproof softshell jacket. Polartec® NeoShell® protects from the rain and allows airflow to quickly vent and evaporate sweat. Multiple zips and a custom venting system allow you to shed heat in a hurry during extreme exertion. Go farther, go harder, stay dry when the skies open up. Those dark clouds on the horizon are just another challenge.

"Beautiful and with all the bells and whistles, the Trials jacket is built by one of the most stylish mountain bike clothing brands in the world. A Rapha for the off-road set...the Trials is as comfy as a soft shell while performing like a hardshell jacket."

"Softshell feel, hardshell performance. Impossible? Tell that to the designers at Kitsbow. These guys obsess over fabrics. And their Trials Jacket with wrist vents and a helmet compatible hood is the shit. Pardon my french. It's waterproof thanks to Polartec's Neoshell fabric: windproof, waterproof and insanely breathable. There are wrist vents, a roll top hood, a Napoleon pocket, adjustable cuffs and waist, and looks absolutely baller."

    I really like the jacket

The original price was pretty high but I use the jacket almost everyday. I put a long sleeve and a thin sweater underneath if the temp is below 40. I bought 2 xS ones for my wife and one for my eldest daughter at the sale price.

    Finally pulled the trigger

I have been obsessing over the Trials jacket for a while now and I finally did it… I haven’t been able to wear it in the rain, but I have worn it, and I love the fit, the quality, and the styling. It is a great jacket on and off the bike. It moves very well making it a great riding or hiking jacket. As others have stated, it is form fitting, so size up if your mid layers are thick. I like thiner layers, so the fit is great for me.

    Slim, functional, stylish

I've got this jacket in blue and the fit is amazing. Slim fit throughout - including the arms. The sizing is such that you could fit a t-shirt and something like an Icon Flannel underneath perfect. Much more than that it might get tight. I really like this. It looks great when walking around in public and is functional when riding. The blue color is also bright and makes it easy to be seen when commuting. All in, this is a killer jacket that I constantly get compliments on! 5'11", 150 lbs. Size: Medium was perfect.

    Actually Waterproof!

This is the only breathable and actually waterproof rainjacket I've ever used/owned. The color and fit is great, plus the stow away hood allows it to be more versatile. The arm zips are a great idea, though I haven't found them useful yet (perhaps I need to ride harder?). Overall stellar jacket, the best I've owned for the use!

    multi purpose jacket

No question this jacket is great on chilly/windy/wet rides. It is also my go-to for traveling to non-freezing places. The slim fit makes it look sharp and not out of place at a fancy dinner meeting where I would not feel comfortable in other rain it keeps you dry, warm and packs down well.
