I bought these merino shorts specifically for bikepacking. After wearing them on a few trips, I can safely say that they are by far my favorite backcountry short! They were as soft after several days in the backcountry as they were on the first day. They maintained their shape and the fit is dialed. They were comfortable for HABs. They never smelled. I never felt too hot in them. Can't comment yet on how they'll hold up over several seasons, but they appear to be made to last. Thanks for making such a fantastic product!
I was skeptical at first mainly because of the price tag. Last year I purchased my first pair. Soon these were my "go to" shorts. This summer I purchased my second pair. i find Kitsbow runs a little small so I always size up (for shirts and chamois, socks are true to size - LOL). Even though they are merino wool they stay incredibly cool, the sweat pulls away from my body. I know live in SoCal so rides get pretty hot. Prior to this I was using these in the North Woods of Wisconsin and they kept me warm. I like that after a sweaty, long ride, I can comfortably stay in these post ride for stop at a local brewery or to grab a bite. Buy these - and you will want a second pair. My other chamois must feel jealous.
I am writing this review on behalf of my lovely wife, Shanna. She is a rookie mountain biker but an athlete through and through. She is a competitive runner and, although she is working on her mountain bike skills, crushes the bike. She is strong on the climbs and somewhat fearless on the descents. Here is her review: "these liners are super comfy. They disappeared under me and I didn't even feel like they were there. We went on a 25 mile road ride yesterday and my expensive bibshorts left me a little sore. Today, these liners were such a nice relief. Can I wear these on our next road ride?" There you have it...I couldn't sing the Kitsbow praises better myself. My wife is hooked on The Best cycling apparel in the business. Cheers Kitsbow!
These shorts were great. I did what you’re not supposed to do and wore them for the first time on a 36 mile mountain bike ride. Luckily, they were so great, no spots that rubbed, so comfortable and zero smell. A lot of biking shorts roll down around the waist while riding but these didn’t at all they stayed perfectly in place. These are my new favorite shorts! I am 5’8 135 and the medium fit really well, could have probably worn a small as well though.
I am new to mountain biking and these are my first pair of chamois shorts. I love the merino! They don't get stinky and they are very comfortable! Kitsbow's customer service made me a loyalist to this company. They were *so* friendly, helpful, and the shipping was fast! I really love this company and my shorts!
