Tsali Merino Cycling Short

At Kitsbow, our aspirations are nothing short of perfection. For this most crucial piece of kit, we made no compromises. We used high-performance fabrics, a top of the line multi-density chamois made in Italy, and meticulous construction to create a premium short, optimized to enjoy long days in the saddle with the benefits of New Zealand Merino.

We know many women who use this as their sole short for all types of riding, whether layering in the cold or on its own in the heat.

Fabrication & Features

  • Constructed from a blend of 45% nylon, 39% New Zealand Merino wool, and 16% spandex: ideal for durability, comfort, and support
  • Fitted with an Italian-made, multi-density women’s Cytech EIT (Elastic Interface Technology) insert featuring carbon yarn to expedite dry time and increase the pad's anti-microbial properties
  • The waistband is constructed for both ultimate comfort and a secure stay-in-place fit; the front portion of waistband is purposely constructed to do away with seams and stitching, while back is cut higher and features a gripper waistband to stay in place while in the saddle
  • Style lines quietly match the lines on the Kitsbow All-Mountain Short collection for a seamless layering interface
  • Silicone gripper bead along the liner’s outer side hem keeps outer short snug, on the inside waist and lower leg hem to keep them in place
  • Women’s specific Cytech pad is designed to give the wearer complete support and freedom of movement while offering superior breathability, moisture transfer and comfort
  • Made in North America (Canada)

Extremely comfortable

I use this short as my chamois liner and it is the most comfortable hands down. I think its worth the price for a happy bottom every ride.

I think they're perfect!

I ordered the Tsali AND the Tsali merino and they are both excellent performers. The fit is spot-on and the chamois substantial enough to protect yet not overly padded.

Tahoe Tested

I typically am not a huge fan of spandex on the Tahoe trails, but am a huge fan of these shorts. Super comfortable all day long and great quality.

comfortable shorts for long days in the saddle

I've used these shorts a handful of times for racing, training rides, and bikepacking. These are my first non-bib go-to shorts. But for downhill/enduro and bike packing the ease of non-bib shorts is more convenient. These are the first shorts I've owned that perform / feel like bibs. No movement/sliding down or rubbing against jersey zippers. The come up a high on the waist, just like bibs and don't fall over the course of the ride. Also a nice touch is the silicon gripper on the outside to keep your jersey or baggies from hitching up when you're getting rad. I wear a small in most bike brands bottoms and my sizing was the same for these. Fit wise, they're perfect for me. I'm 5'2" 125lbs and the S works great.
