At Kitsbow, our aspirations are nothing short of perfection. For this most crucial piece of kit, we made no compromises. We used high-performance fabrics, a top of the line multi-density chamois made in Italy, and meticulous construction to create a premium short, optimized to enjoy long days in the saddle with the benefits of New Zealand Merino.
We know many women who use this as their sole short for all types of riding, whether layering in the cold or on its own in the heat.
I typically am not a huge fan of spandex on the Tahoe trails, but am a huge fan of these shorts. Super comfortable all day long and great quality.
I've used these shorts a handful of times for racing, training rides, and bikepacking. These are my first non-bib go-to shorts. But for downhill/enduro and bike packing the ease of non-bib shorts is more convenient. These are the first shorts I've owned that perform / feel like bibs. No movement/sliding down or rubbing against jersey zippers. The come up a high on the waist, just like bibs and don't fall over the course of the ride. Also a nice touch is the silicon gripper on the outside to keep your jersey or baggies from hitching up when you're getting rad. I wear a small in most bike brands bottoms and my sizing was the same for these.
Wow they are amazing! Once again Kitsbow delivers a product that feels like silk. They’re so soft and comfty I could lounge around in these. I wore them under my baggies and didn’t feel like I had an uncomfortable second layer on. Also I’m prone to saddle sores yet these seem to keep them away. That alone is worth its weight in gold.
These shorts feel so good! I am always hot and uncomfortable, my skin gets irritated every time I ride, resulting in days of a painful rash. I searched for merino shorts and these were the only ones I found; and they didn't disappoint! My skin was still a little irritated but nothing like before. I only gave 4 of 5 starts because I'm concerned they aren't going to hold up over time, the elastic waist band arrived with elastic threads sticking out all over, at $195 I would hope for better quality control.
